My first post! The kitchen window.

Okay, where do I start? I haven't blogged in almost a year! My old blog (which many of your may have followed or not followed) said my last post was August 11, 2011. I knew I needed time off with the move, DH getting out of the military, and me starting my new job.

I thought it would only be fitting, well I'm not quite sure about that, to have my first post be about life. The life of a flower that is!

I'm so proud of my son. For Mother's Day at school he painted me a flower pot. Inside that pot he planted flower seeds.

Now a few weeks later those seeds have sprouted! We are anxiously waiting in our house to see what these "secret" flowers will look like!

As you can see that's the view from my kitchen sink window. Nothing pretty except for the beautiful life of a flower that MY son planted for me. Also, there's my Christmas Cactus (is that what it's called Dad?) and some other random purple and white flowered plant from my dad.

DS is truly amazed by his seeds that are now sprouting. At times he asks if he can touch them or just hold the pot. Of course, I'm scared he will rip them out but I should have no worries. He's gentle with them. I'm pretty sure, well I'm positive, that that's about the only thing he's gentle with!

Do you have life on your kitchen window seal? Please feel free to leave a comment!
